A section of Green Street has been dug up as part of planned infrastructure repair work. The work will be ongoing over the coming weeks and the city asks residents for their patience during the construction period. They’ve also asked that all motorists and pedestrians obey posted signage.

The repairs are taking place beside the lot where a proposed 42 unit seniors housing complex, which was approved by city council in June, will begin construction later this year.

“To ensure the servicing for the newly-approved senior’s housing development at that location can proceed unencumbered, the City expedited the repairs which were included in the Council-approved 2017 Capital Budget.” said Veronika Stewart, communications manager for the city.
