Captain Gary Sheils of the Salvation Army distributed 300 backpacks containing a certificate for 15 per cent off school supplies from the Bargain Shop to families in need over the course of three days last week.
The Backpack Program is a partnership between the Salvation Army, Northern Savings Credit Union, the Prince Rupert Rotary Club and the Bargain Shop.
