The Prince Rupert Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting last Wednesday to swear in a new president and board members.

Chad Cunningham,  marketing director for Citywest, replaced  Maynard Angus, the Prince Rupert Port Authority, as the chamber of commerce president.

During his first speech as president, Cunningham talked about the Prince Rupert Chamber’s need to be engaged on issues that are important to its members. Cunningham also highlighted the newly formed Municipal Relations Committee that was designed to improve the chamber’s ability to bring its concerns before city council.

When asked what issues the committee was planning to bring forward, Cunningham said that nothing was presently on the agenda, but they would be listening to the members.
