In our Opinion: Collaboration key for city

Grand visions require equally grand partnerships. No one achieves greatness alone.

With the latest partnership between the City of Prince Rupert and the North Coast-Skeena First Nations Stewardship Society to help gather funds for the Moresby Park fuel tanks removal, a theme of collaboration is becoming apparent at city hall.

Grand visions require equally grand partnerships. No one achieves greatness alone. With movements like Hays 2.0, 2030 Sustainable City and affordable housing, the City of Prince Rupert cannot afford to miss out on networking opportunities that can boost its aspirations.

Thankfully, mayor and council seem to realize this and have taken up networking with gusto. Between reaching out to environmental groups to formulate sustainable city policy, working with support service groups for low-income housing and being in constant communication with the province and federal Ministry of Transportation, the city is making sure collaboration is key to its direction.
