1929 - 2017

It is with a heavy heart we announce the sudden passing of William John McIntyre on January 6, 2017.

Predeceased by his wife Mellane McIntyre in 2012, William (Bill) is survived by his son Carl McIntyre and Lynda Dawes of Prince Rupert, daughter Debbie Rempel and husband Jim Rempel of Kelowna and son Allan McIntyre and wife Tracey McIntyre of Prince George. Two grandchildren Ashley McIntyre and Saul Rempel both of Kelowna, nephew Ray McIntyre of Prince Rupert and Lynne Pomponio of Victoria.

William was born in Stewart BC May 26, 1929, lived in Vancouver for some time and moved to Prince Rupert where he married Mellane (Brechin) in 1952 and had their three children.

Working as an automotive mechanic in the early years, then Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans as a mechanic, and later with the Pacific Pilotage Authority from which he retired in 1991.

Bill was an active member in the Masonic Lodge as well as its concordant bodies (Shriners & Royal Arch). Recently receiving a Masonic Metal of Merit and Fifty Year Membership recognition, Bill could always be seen participating in various functions.

Known for his calmness, he was always willing to listen

to anyone.

A celebration of life is planned for a later date.
