On February 21, 2017, Patrick peacefully passed away surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife Ellen, children Kevin (Karlie), Daryl (Krista), grandchildren Meagan, Brechin and a large extended family. Patrick was born in Mumbai, India on March 14,1930. He had four brothers and four sisters. He moved with his siblings and parents to the U.K. shortly after the end of British rule in India. Patrick worked as a Millwright in India, the U.K. and parts of Africa for a number of years. He later moved to Canada first working in Labrador, then Kitimat and eventually Prince Rupert. He was a natural problem solver and loved working on various projects around the family home. Patrick spent his last few years in a home in Vancouver where he was affectionately known as " Papa-Ji". He spent many an hour telling stories and joking with fellow residents and staff and began regularly speaking in Hindi and Punjabi again. Patrick will be dearly missed. At his request there will be no formal service. Patrick asked that people remember him in their own way. In lieu of flowers he requested donations made to the Prince Rupert Wildlife Rehab Shelter http://www.prwildlifeshelter.org/  or the Prince Rupert St. Andrew's Anglican Cathedral.
