Mona (Proksch) Perry

Mona passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 25, 2015 in Vancouver; she was 52.

Mona was born in Saint Boniface, Manitoba on March 29, 1963. She called Prince Rupert home for her childhood and early adult life, where she worked in the Fishermen’s Co-op cannery. Mona spent the last half of her life in the Lower Mainland.

Mona was known for her unique sense of humour, infectious laugh, for wearing her heart on her sleeve, and donning an abundance of colourful, hand-made jewelry.

Mona is survived by her daughters Miranda (Rand) and Martina (Tine) Perry, her mom Hilda Proksch from Vancouver, brothers Andy Jr. and Gary Proksch and their families, father Andy Proksch Sr., and all of her friends from the Rice Block in Vancouver.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 11 a.m. at the Annunciation Catholic Church at 635 5th Ave West.
