March 21, 1941 – July 01, 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Louise Angeline McDonald (Mauro) who passed away peacefully on July 01, 2017 at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Louise was predeceased by her mother Pearl, father Antonio Mauro and sister Victoria Tauber.

She leaves behind son Timothy McDonald, daughter Terri Ryan-McDonald (David), son-in-law Taylor Ryan Sr., Grandchildren Jessica(Chase), Taylor Jr., Rebecca, beloved cat Tibby and many other family and friends who will miss her.

Louise was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she married her now ex-husband Ian McDonald and rasied two children, Timothy and Terri-Lynn. In 1986, Louise and children moved to Prince Rupert, BC where she could be closer to her sister and family. She worked for 20+ years at Skeena Taxi until retirement. In her spare time, Louise enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles and crotchet/knitting for family and friends as well as donating to the local SPCA and Transition House.

Louise will be remembered for her great sense of humor, contagious smile and her love for her family.

Our family extends our sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital and family doctor Dr. Belgardt for allowing us to spend our last days in peace and comfort.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Louise’s name to the Prince Rupert Hospice Society.

At Louise’s request there will be no service, a small gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date
