Hill, Leonard “Daniel” - 60, Amherst, NS, died on April 26, 2014 in Amherst, NS. Born in Prince Rupert, BC to the late Fred and
Violet (Hadland) Hill. He had recently
retired from Service Canada with over 23 years
service.
Dan’s heart was always with his family. Nothing was more important than
sharing with people he loved. He worked hard and always had time to do a little extra for others. He particularly loved being in the outdoors fishing with family and just
absorbing the wonder of it all. He loved to laugh and play games and could be a devilish trickster. His smile and laugh never failed to raise the spirits of those around him. He had a big open heart and will be so sadly missed.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, a brother Michael, and his sister, Betty.
He is survived by his daughters Samantha (David) Downey of Amherst and Kristy Hill (Scott Houlihan) of Dartmouth and their mother Susan Hill of Amherst and three grandchildren Laurana, Violet-Anne and Grayson. Also survived by brother Robert Hill; sisters Muriel Peterson, Leona Thomson, Keron Ruff, Patricia Yerema, Bernice Hays and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are in the care of Campbell¹s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS.
