Jacob (Jake) Ivan Nelson
October 3, 1923 - May 10, 2013
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Jake Nelson on May 10, 2013 at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.
Jake was born in Whonnock, BC. He moved to Prince Rupert area in 1957 and made a life with his family. Jake worked as the net boss in Port Edward until his
retirement in 1984. Over the years Jake has made
numerous friends with his outgoing and friendly nature.
Jake is survived by his loving wife Audrey of 57 years; children Bonnie (Bob) Wekel, Raymond (Lorraine) Nelson; grandchildren Raymond (Sharon) Wekel,
Willie Wekel, Kyle Nelson, Jeffrey Nelson; sister
Jean (Jim) Behl and brother Lawrence (Irene) Nelson.
Jake was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed forever.
There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC would be appreciated.
