Elizabeth Robinson, born in Lancaster, England, passed away in Vanderhoof B.C. on May 5, 2017, at the age of 63 after a lengthy battle with Cancer. Elizabeth was home peacefully until the last day of her illness when she was moved to St. John Hospital in Vanderhoof B.C. where she passed away 12 hours later.

Elizabeth moved to Prince Rupert in 1979 and taught there for many years. Elizabeth and family moved to Vanderhoof in 2014 to help combat the oncoming of early dementia. Elizabeth was diagnosed in July 2016 with Cancer and because of the early dementia, she did not fully understand what was transpiring and therefore was able to have a relatively peaceful battle. She continued to do her daily activities far into her illness, which certainly was a testament to her strength.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her Mother, Joyce Robinson (Huddersol) and her Father Alan Robinson. She leaves behind her husband Bruce Leslie, her two sons, Ryan Hill and Kevin Hill (Tiffany O’Brien). Her sister Margaret Smith and niece Laurie Smith. Her brother Alan (Linda Bishop), niece Holly Robinson and nephew Thomas Robinson.

Elizabeth’s life as a teacher was her dream and was very fulfilling until her mental illness made it impossible to continue. She always missed the children she taught.
