Leniuk, Arthur

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Arthur Leniuk of Prince Rupert, BC.
Born to a pioneer family, Bill &
Margaret Leniuk in the Rama, SK district where he attended Oleksince school.
Art took his first job as a Red Cap Porter for the C.N. Railways in Winnipeg Man. He later moved to Prince Rupert, BC and worked at the Oceanview Hotel for 14 years, and also worked as a fireman; Art then worked on a seiner as a cook and deckhand.
Arthur is survived by his daughter Kelly (Bill) Stenset, his
grandchildren Tanya, Travis and Sydney, great grandchildren
Brooklynn and Frank. His long time friend Jennie Fraser. All of Prince Rupert, BC. Brother Jerry (Debbie) Leniuk of Buchanan, SK. Sisters Mary (Roy) Opsal of S’toon, Sk. Stella Leniuk of Vancouver, BC,
Angie Vallentgoed of Turtleford Sk. Diane (Ken) Stadnyk of
Camrose, AB, Elda (Norman) Bosovich of Canora, SK. Gale Unick & (Ray) of S’toon Sk. Bernice Carlson of Vancouver, BC and numerous nieces and
nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ferguson’s Funeral Home. Internment will take place in Canora at a later date.
