Wind warning in effect for B.C.’s northern coast

Environment Canada predicting 90 kilometre per hour winds until Wednesday afternoon

A wind warning has been issued for northern coastal sections of B.C. by Environment Canada.

The alert predicts northeasterly winds of 90 kilometres per hour throughout the day on Wednesday.

“High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break,” said the alert on the Environment Canada website.

The winds are expected to calm by the afternoon.
