Police seek suspect in Belmont break and enter

Prince Rupert RCMP are looking for this man and alleged accomplices following a break and enter at the Belmont Liquor Store on Wednesday at approximately 6 a.m.

Prince Rupert RCMP are seeking information related to a break and enter at the Belmont Liquor Store.

According to a press release by the RCMP, police responded to a call at 6 a.m. on July 2nd from a reported witness of the illegal activity.

According to the anonymous caller, three men broke into the establishment prior to the arrival of police. The RCMP determined that the men gained entrance through the front door and were no longer at the scene.

Several coolers had been damaged and a still image from a security camera has been released to help identify one of the suspects.

"At this time, police have been unable to identify any of the possible suspects, so we are turning to the public for assistance," said Cost. Matt Ericson, spokesman for the Prince Rupert RCMP.

"We are able to obtain a still photograph of one of the suspects and are asking the community for anyone with information that may assist us in identifying this person."
