A 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coast of Haida Gwaii at approximately 1:14 p.m. on Dec. 5.
Earthquakes Canada reported that the quake was approximately 297 km south of Prince Rupert, and no tsunami is anticipated to follow.
