Friday will be a wet one on the North Coast as Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the region.

Environment Canada is forecasting a Pacific storm with subtropical moisture hitting the North Coast on Friday afternoon and bringing with it up to 100 milimetres of rain and "very strong" southeast winds. On the waters, waves are expected  to rise from 1 to two metres to up to five metres by Friday afternoon.
