The Prince Rupert RCMP are looking for information about an armed robbery at the 11th Ave Liquor Store on Thursday evening.

The surveillance photo was taken at 9:15 p.m. The suspect was wearing an orange, grey and black striped hooded sweatshirt and a black mask, and was described as being 5'8" to 5'10" tall. The photos show that the suspect used a metal rod in the robbery.

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 1300 block of 11th Avenue East. "Upon police arrival the suspect had already fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and the lone clerk working was not hurt during the robbery," Sgt. Dave Uppal stated in the police press release.

If anyone has information or details about the robbery, call the RCMP at 250-627-0700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
