Third driver in fatal highway accident identified as Prince Rupert man

The Terrace RCMP have identified the man behind the wheel of a third vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal accident between Prince Rupert and Terrace on Jan. 7.

A 44-year-old Prince Rupert man has been identified as the driver of a dark pickup truck photographed near the scene. RCMP released the photo in hopes of identifying the man, who is alleged to have fled the scene of an accident that claimed the life of a 27-year-old Prince Rupert man on Tuesday.

The West Pacific Region Traffic Services continue to investigate.
