A fire that ripped through abandoned BC Housing townhomes in the Kootenay Avenue and McKay Street area April 21 was suspicious according to police.

Brody Hemrich, media relations officer for the Prince Rupert RCMP, said the actual cause of the fire is still under investigation.

“We are asking for anyone with ring camera footage or eyewitnesses to come forward and speak to police,” Hemrich said.
