What is Fletcher’s thesis on climate change?

Response to Tom Fletcher’s opinion article in the July 21 Northern View: “Hype doesn’t help forest fire efforts.”

Having just read Tom Fletcher’s opinion piece ... I can appreciate the difficulty in establishing a direct cause and effect relation between climate change and our current fire season.

What I would really like to read from Mr. Fletcher is his thesis on climate change: Is it real and if so has it been accelerated by human industrial activity and if so, what might some of the quantifiable effects be?

I too have taken a keen interest in what is called climate change or climate disruption.

It seems, however, that Mr. Fletcher and I are accessing very different data sources on which we have based our opinions.

I would like to read Mr. Fletcher’s data sources so that I can better understand how his current opinion has been formed.

I’m not looking for dismissive name calling; but rather a thoughtful rendition of the research journey that has brought him to this point and opinion in time.
