Outerbridge, The Time Capsule Tour at Lester Centre

WEBOuterbridge2.jpg

On Saturday evening, illusionist couple Ted and Marion Outerbridge returned to Prince Rupert to perform at the Lester Centre of the Arts.

The duos new show, The Time Capsule Tour, incorporated classic magical illusions such as sawing a woman in half, and vanishing acts, but also contained brand new material created by the husband and wife team. A highlight of the show was the prediction of the time capsule’s contents, an illusion Outerbridge does at every show. The time capsule hung above the stage, while Ted got members of the audience to select items that should be added to it. Impressively, all three items audience members said turned out to be the items listed in the capsule.

The Time Capsule Tour involved a lot of audience participation, including one trick where three randomly selected people donated their gold rings for an illusion. With a bit of magic, Ted got all three rings to join together, with owners swearing it was indeed their rings chained together.

The magical couple has been performing together since 1991, when Ted hired Marion as his lead dancer. The pair has been touring together since.
